What’s a recession?

A recession occurs when GDP (Gross Domestic Product: measures the size of a country’s economy) contracts for 2 quarters in a row — basically caused by a decline in economic activity.

We are used to including corporate jargon in the way we communicate. You don’t need complex sentences to express complex ideas. In my experience, the harder the subject, the more informally experts speak. You know what they say, if you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.

Why don’t we write how we speak?

This tragic event has shifted the spotlight to global racial inequality, and quite frankly, we are tired.
